How health cuts are killing women

The Guardian

The Daytona Beach News-Journal / Anne Geggis
The end of the recent legislative session killed a plan aimed at improving the odds that Volusia County’s youngest citizens get health care before taking their first breath of air — at least until next year. These women have pioneered in medical science and fought on the front lines of human rights’ movements. Women have been making history for as long as history has been recorded. Cleopatra VII, born in 69 BC, became the Queen of Egypt at the age of 17, paving the way for women leaders on the world stage.
